Pravica, an Egypt-based Web3 messaging platform, has received an undisclosed amount of funding from Adaverse to extend its Web3 messaging application in Africa.

The financing will enable Pravica to focus on improving communication functionalities, capture bigger markets, and integrate more chains, according to a statement this week. Pravica’s immediate plans will include an integration with the Cardano blockchain protocol.

The startup uses blockchain technology to create a decentralized secure messaging application called “Pravica Messenger.” It also grants users the ability to create closed communities through Pravica Clubs, which are also secure. According to CEO Mohamed Abdu, the application offers a safe and private platform compared to its Web2 counterparts.

Future is Decentralized

“We are building for the decentralized future, and we understand how Web2 platforms would need to be completely overhauled to accommodate the solutions we offer,” Abdu said in a statement “Even if they were to make these changes, they would still need to invest a significant amount of time and resources to improve security and provide their users with a sense of safety when connecting their wallets to these centralized platforms.”

Vincent Li, founding partner at Adaverse noted: “Communication and trust are essential to the success of socio-economic development of communities and highly essential in successful DAOs, which is precisely what Pravica’s innovative solution enhances.”
